Package Description

To maintain daily service levels across all departments and be part of a multi-skilled team to deliver operational excellence throughout Bigham’s logistics function.

  • Job Introduction
  • Work as part of the Logistics team continuously delivering excellent standards
  • All activities comply to GMP and 5S standards.
  • In the event of any issues, make sure they are contained and escalated to the Logistics Team Leader/Manager.
  • Ensure H&S standards are maintained and followed at all times.
  • Any hazards or near misses are identified, raised and resolved with the team or Team Leader.
  • Be able to perform any of the Logistics roles, ensuring the smooth running of the department, working in conjunction with the rest of the team.
  • Receive and store all in-bound deliveries.
  • Accurately pick and despatch all finished goods, meeting customer order requirements.
  • Highlight, communicate and resolve any daily issues with the relevant people.
  • Ensure all computer records and paperwork are completed as required.
  • Work with Commercial, Production and the Technical teams to ensure timely and successful new product launches or promotional actively.
  • Actively engage in team discussions and meetings, contributing to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and late shifts (2:00 PM – 12:00 midnight).
  • Ability to work in low-temperature environments, including chillers and freezers.

  • EH&S of yourself and others
  • Food Safety & Quality – delivering the Bigham’s standard.
  • Service level – ensure customer orders are always achieved to a high standard and are completed on time.
  • Maintain GMP standards.
  • Working with the team to resolve any issues as they arise using lean technique’s (for example RCA).

  • Work within the company’s rules and policies, introducing procedures where appropriate in conjunction with technical documentation requirements.
  • Adhere to the health and safety policy of the company and work within its guidelines to ensure personal safety of staff at all times.
