Our Packing Friday to Sunday shift offers full‑time hours (34) condensed into just 3 days, meaning you’ll have Monday to Thursday off every week — more time to rest, recharge and enjoy life outside of work. As part of the Packing Team, you’ll play a key role in the final stage of our production process, ensuring our dishes meet Bigham’s high standards before heading out to our customers.
Working hours:
- Friday: 7am – 5pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 7am – 7pm
Main Responsibilities:
- Use specialist equipment to identify and remove dishes that don’t meet Bigham’s quality standards
- Carefully measure and add toppings to finish dishes to a high standard
- Refill packing machines with cardboard sleeves or boxes
- Accurately stack boxed dishes onto pallets and move completed pallets to Logistics
- Maintain high hygiene standards and a clean, tidy workspace
- Complete food preparation records and logs
- Carry out effective and accurate shift handovers
- Flag any equipment issues within your area
- Work as part of a fast‑paced team to achieve the daily production plan

- A desire to develop your skills and grow as part of the Bigham’s team
Experience in a packing, machinist or food production role would be beneficial, but isn’t essential - full training will be provided.
Package Description:
What you’ll receive:
- A competitive hourly rate of £15.92, rising to £16.57 after 3 months (equivalent to over £28,000 per year, rising to over £29,000, based on a 34‑hour week, excluding overtime)
