We’re currently expanding our Assembly Day Shift Team and are looking for great people to join us. Our Assembly Team play a crucial role in bringing our dishes together so they start to look like the meals you know and love. With all components prepared and cooked, you’ll assemble each dish with care - from layering our lasagnes to adding sauces and finishing touches to our much‑loved mac and cheese. It’s hands‑on work where pride, consistency and attention to detail really matter. You’ll work 40 hours across 4 days, giving you 3 days off every week - more time to rest, recharge and enjoy life outside of work.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm
Role Responsibilities:
- Accurately weigh portions to be added to each dish
- Add and arrange dish components in line with specifications
- Replenish dish trays to support production flow
- Maintain high hygiene standards and a clean, tidy workspace
- Complete food preparation records and logs
- Carry out quality checks to ensure Bigham’s standards are met
- Complete effective and accurate shift handovers
- Flag any equipment issues within your area
- Work as an integral part of the team to deliver the daily production plan

This role is physically active and will require you to spend most of your shift on your feet. Experience of working in a food handling or production environment would be beneficial, but isn’t essential – full food safety and quality training will be provided.
Package Description:
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.88, rising to £13.43 after 3 months (equivalent to over £28,000 per year, based on a 40‑hour week, excluding overtime)
