In any kitchen, hygiene is paramount and in a kitchen that produces thousands of meals every day, even more so! That’s why we are looking for passionate people with very exacting standards to join our hygiene team in our kitchen located in Dulcote, Wells. In these skilled roles you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of our production kitchen are maintained as cleanly and safely as possible.
Working Hours
4 Days on 4 Days Off - 6am-6pm
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations (Desirable) – Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and standards such as HACCP to ensure compliance in all aspects of food production.
- Sanitisation Procedures – Proficiency in cleaning and sanitising equipment, surfaces and production areas using appropriate chemicals and techniques to maintain hygienic conditions and prevent contamination.
- Attention to Detail – Ability to spot potential hygiene issues or hazards in the production environment and take proactive measures to address them promptly, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Teamwork and Communication – Collaboration with other team members, including production staff and supervisors, to report any concerns and ensure a cohesive approach to maintaining hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- Problem‐solving Skills – Capacity to identify root causes of hygiene‐related issues, troubleshoot sanitation equipment and implement corrective actions effectively to prevent recurrence and uphold the integrity of the food production process.
Compensation and Benefits
- A competitive salary of £12.28 per hour (including all premiums)
- A pay increase to £12.86 per hour following the successful completion of 3 months' probation (including all premiums)
- Overtime payments, paid at 1.5x the hourly base rate
- 28 days annual leave, increasing each year
