Role Overview: This is a temporary 13‑month contract (maternity cover). As a Graphic & Content Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and engaging visual content that aligns with our brand’s messaging and marketing strategy. You will collaborate with internal teams to manage and execute design projects across digital and print mediums, ensuring consistent and high-quality output. Additionally, you will be involved in art direction for photoshoots, photography, and podcast content, helping to elevate the creative direction of these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Development: Work closely with the Global Head of Marketing to ensure consistent visual identity for each brand. Support the development of actionable brand guidelines that outline visual identity, tone of voice, key brand elements etc. and ensure consistency of usage across all platforms and teams. Design and create brand assets (logos, typography, colour schemes, imagery, illustration etc) that reflect the strategic direction and that are easily adaptable for use in marketing and communication channels, ensuring seamless brand consistency.
- Graphic Design (Print, Digital & Video): Develop and design creative assets for a variety of platforms, including magazine and OOH advertising, trade and consumer event signage, brochures, direct mail, packaging, social media, websites, digital ads, email campaigns etc. Maintain consistency in brand style and tone across all platforms. Produce visually compelling content while ensuring designs are optimised for different devices and media formats. Work with the internal marketing assistant to design and produce engaging social media content (e.g., images, GIFs, infographics, short-form video, etc.) that resonates with the target audience and supports campaign goals.
- Collaborative & Leadership Work: Work cross-functionally, to manage design briefs and outputs, ensuring design is delivered on time and aligned to the brand guidelines. Present design concepts and creative ideas to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback and revisions as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Essential criteria: 3+ years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both print and digital mediums. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and other relevant design tools. Experience in photography direction and editing, with the ability to communicate creative concepts for photoshoots and shoots. A solid understanding of design principles and branding, with the ability to adapt to a variety of creative styles. Familiarity with multimedia production, including creating assets for podcasts (audio/video). Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality design work.
- Desirable criteria: Experience with video editing and motion graphics. Knowledge of UX/UI design principles. Familiarity with web design tools such as Figma. Experience in project management or managing creative workflows. A creative, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and think outside the box. Experience in content creation for social media platforms and understanding trends, tools, and best practices.
Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 per year
