This position is part-time (24 hours per week) and working days will be Monday, Friday and Saturday. There will be the opportunity to work additional hours during the year to support company events and peak trading times. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Customer Service & Sales Assistant to join our team. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer experience across all direct communication channels, as well as supporting sales both online and in person.
The successful candidate will be comfortable handling customer enquiries, resolving complaints, and supporting customers throughout their purchasing journey. You will also help welcome and assist visitors to our on-site shop and Gallery, ensuring every interaction reflects our brand values and high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outstanding customer service across all direct channels, including email, telephone and social media.
- Confidently handle customer queries and complaints, working proactively to find appropriate and timely resolutions.
- Process customer orders and assist with pre-orders using ecommerce platforms.
- Work towards individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
- Support customers with product information, order queries, and after-sales support.
- Welcome and assist customers visiting our on-site shop and Gallery, delivering a warm and professional in-person experience.
- Accurately manage order administration and customer records.
- Multitask effectively in a busy sales environment, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain strong organizational skills to balance customer service, sales activity, and administrative responsibilities.
- Support additional company events and peak trading periods when required.
- Proven experience in a customer service or sales-focused role.
- Confidence handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience using BigCommerce or a similar e-commerce platform.
- Ability to work towards sales targets and KPIs.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, confident, and professional manner when dealing with customers.
- Experience working with luxury, collectible, or premium retail products.
- Experience supporting both online and in-person sales environments.
- Familiarity with social media customer interactions.
