We are looking for a reliable and motivated Quality Control Warehouse Operative with a passion for the automotive industry to join our Core Warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of vehicle parts, hold a valid Forklift Counterbalance license and bring a meticulous approach to inspecting, quality controlling, preparing and processing automotive components. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, manual handling experience and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Quality control of car parts to ensure that they are in sound order with no damage
- Preparation of parts ready to be checked
- Process all items correctly and escalate problems to the Strategy Manager
- Ensure all parts are tagged correctly and marked appropriately
- Ensure that all tagged parts go into the designated areas
- Support colleagues’ current operational functions as required
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the Core Warehouse and surrounding area
- Process damaged parts as required
- Ensure all paperwork is completed, checked, and passed to relevant departments in a timely manner for action
- Complete timely and accurate picking and replenishment of all stock lines as required
- Adhere to all statutory and company Health & Safety requirements, effectively communicating any concerns as appropriate and ensuring safe systems of work are always observed
- Compliance with manual handling guidelines and VDU Safety Procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Good basic knowledge of vehicle parts and a hands-on interest in cars
- Forklift Counterbalance License essential
- Previous quality control or warehouse experience is highly desirable
- Manual Handling experience
- Able to work with a high level of care and accuracy
- Must be health and safety conscious
The successful candidate will be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
