We’re looking for someone passionate about cars and hands-on mechanical work to join our production line team in Poole. Ideally, you’ll have experience in vehicle dismantling or mechanics and enjoy working with vehicles and parts. You’ll dismantle end-of-life vehicles, remove quality parts, and ensure materials are recycled safely and efficiently, contributing to a fast-paced, rewarding, and sustainable operation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Swing shift pattern, 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday): 6:00am-3:00pm one week / 3:00pm-12:00am the next.
- Following strict safety, quality and environmental procedures while dismantling vehicles.
- Removing and preparing high quality parts for reuse and resale.
- Dismantling doors, windows/glazing, interior & exterior components, suspension, powertrain, dashboards.
- Extracting and sorting recyclable materials.
- Sorting waste materials into the correct recycling streams.
- Meeting daily dismantling targets and contributing to a smooth running team.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for cars and vehicle mechanics.
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in vehicle mechanics or equivalent hands-on experience.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically, safely, and efficiently.
- Problem-solving mindset and keen attention to detail.
- Confidence using hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of dismantling techniques and mechanical systems.
