Overview
Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a role with variety and responsibility? Join our transport team in Poole, where every day is different. You’ll be on the frontline of our business, working directly with customers and supporting our operational and material handling teams to keep things moving.
You’ll collect vehicles from a range of locations, from customers’ homes to commercial units, often dealing with accident damaged or non-running cars that require winching. You’ll need to be mechanically minded, quick-thinking, and confident in problem solving on the go.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving a seven-car transporter across multiple locations
- Collecting end-of-life, insurance, and damaged vehicles for return to Poole
- Carrying out depot-to-depot transfers as required
- Managing paperwork accurately on a daily basis
- Working closely with the transport, operational, and material handling teams
- 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What We’re Looking For
- HGV Class 1 (Class CE) licence holder
- CPC and DIGI card (must be valid and in date)
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and regulations
- Literacy and numeracy skills for paperwork completion
- Experience in vehicle recovery or transporter work with a semi-trailer car transporter (highly desirable but not essential)
- Able to provide two references
