Purpose: Delivering car parts to the Midlands, North West, East Anglia & London areas. You will be the face of our business servicing all of our customer’s needs, dealing with prestigious insurance companies, the UK's largest bodyshop groups, garages, independent bodyshops & regular retail customers. You will be driving a 3.5 tonne delivery van which is well equipped with an internal racking solution for all panels such as doors, bonnets & tailgates, and an easy to use crane (training provided) to help you deliver palletised goods such as engines & gearboxes.
Due to significant & continued expansion, we are currently recruiting for a new delivery driver to add to our team of expert drivers. Driving our state of the art delivery van, you will be providing our customers with a next day delivery service. Covering either 1 of 5 delivery routes which are swapped on a weekly basis, providing variation into your day with a vast range of customers to manage.
Daily Routine: Your day will start at 7:15am. You will get your keys, complete your vehicle checks reporting any issues, assist in unloading our 44 tonne trunker/trailer which has transported your deliveries to you from the south, safely load your van using the racking to secure all panels, strapping down all engines & gearboxes ensuring they are safe for transport, informing the line manager of any issues/missing items, use the delivery tracking app to inform customers you are on route with your estimated arrival time, start your day with the aid of a satnav, provide excellent face to face customer service, complete all of your deliveries taking proof of delivery images with the app, with a finish time roughly between 4:00pm/6:00pm. You will be driving 250/300 miles a day, doing up to 12/14 drops, meaning you will be driving more than you are doing deliveries covering a large postcode area, navigating the motorway, A roads, country lanes & local area. The job is long distance driving, so we are seeking someone who works well on their own, is calm under the pressure of motorway driving, forward thinking, customer focused and well organised.
Our delivery drivers are contracted to work, Monday to Friday. A working average of 48 hours a week, over a 17-week period. However, flexibility towards your start & finish time is a must due to the nature/demand of the job.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver car parts across the Midlands, North West, East Anglia & London areas in a 3.5 tonne delivery van
- Provide an industry leading level of customer service to our customers as a role model employee

- Complete your vehicle inspection sheet, reporting of any issues & complete a daily/weekly timesheet
- Communicate with the Delivery Team Leader of any delivery issues & follow basic instruction
- Safe working practices loading & off loading your delivery van
- Professional driving manner in a sign written van with a company logo with a 100 year history
- 48 hour week (average) over a 17-week period, with an unpaid lunch break - no shift pattern, no weekend work & every Christmas off as annual leave.
Experience & Essential Qualities:
- Standard category B driving license
- Experience driving a large 3.5 tonne vehicle is essential
- Experience as a multi drop delivery driver is highly desirable
- Strong level of literacy, numeracy & basic I.T skills using outlook are required
- Excellent communication skills & customer service
- Strong team player & ability to work independently
- Flexibility to meet business needs, due to number of drops & mileage covered
Remuneration & Benefits:
- Salary: £31,724.16 (+£1,560 performance bonus after probation)
- Working Hours: 48 hrs
- Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
