We're looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a role with dependable hours, paid nights out and a friendly transport team. At Charles Trent Ltd, we’re growing our transport operation in Poole and are looking for a reliable, safety focused HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well established business. With over 90 years in the automotive industry, we offer long term stability, variety and a genuinely supportive work culture.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving a modern seven-car transporter across UK routes
- Collecting end-of-life, insurance and accident-damaged vehicles from customers
- Loading, securing and occasionally winching non-running vehicles
- Carrying out depot-to-depot transfers when required
- Completing all paperwork accurately and on time
- Working closely with our transport, operations and material handling teams
- Completing occasional nights out (paid extra)
- Working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What We’re Looking For
- An HGV Class 1 (CE) licence holder
- At least 2 years experience HGV driving
- CPC and DIGI card in date
- Knowledgeable about drivers’ hours and regulations
- Literate and numerate with good attention to detail
- Mechanically minded and confident in problem solving
- Great with customers and a professional ambassador on the road
- Experienced with transporters or vehicle recovery (desirable, not essential)
- Able to provide two references
