Triage practitioner
Shift pattern: Monday – Friday between 8:00 – 20:00 with weekends on a rota basis
Location: Lakeside North Harbour, Portsmouth/Hybrid (after the probation period of 6 months)

Looking for a unique and challenging role in the world of medical assistance? Is it time to utilise all of your current skills and learn new ones?
You will be responsible for the triage of all new patient cases from around the world together with sourcing in-patient beds for repatriated patients whether on a medically escorted commercial flight or by air ambulance. You will assist with coordination with overseas and receiving treating teams.
You will gain knowledge of the world of insurance medicine working alongside both medical and non-medical colleagues.
The role offers a hybrid working model with a full in-office training program followed by mentored supervision.
We are a team of over 30 doctors and nurses working together to obtain the best outcome for our patients.
We are looking for paramedic practitioners with broad clinical knowledge bases who have worked in fields such as ED or cruise ship medicine and preferably with some hospital-based experience.
Duties and responsibilities of the Triage Practitioner:
• Respond to calls and, consult with clients and colleagues in a timely manner and always in accordance with triage priorities.
• Liaise with patients, hospitals, and medical staff across the globe to ensure the correct and appropriate treatment is being given
• Complete accurate and focussed reviews and reports
• Deal with all calls in confidence and in an empathetic manner
• Provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care
Requirements:
· A minimum of 5 years post registration experience
· Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
· Empathy and a desire to enhance the patient journey
· A strong work ethic
· IT competency
· UK nationality or unrestricted right to work in the UK

· Starting salary: From £ 38,000 FTE starting salary with additional reimbursement for unsociable hours, bank holidays and weekends. Previous assistance experience will be taken into consideration.
