The Role

The Marine Team Assistant will provide administrative support to the Marine team, assisting with daily operations. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract for 6 months, requiring 3 days of office work per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing and client events, including special events and market seminars such as the RHL Course.
  • Prepare and proofread reports, letters, and general communications with clients.
  • Build relationships with Adjusters, internal stakeholders, and external clients, proactively following up on queries.
  • Support the team with various administrative activities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Monitor and manage Time-bars.
  • Create and manage urgent cases within Charles Taylor’s system.
  • Produce management information reports as required.
  • Handle sanction checks and complete snow tickets.
  • Liaise with billing and treasury teams.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management within your capabilities.
  • Uphold Charles Taylor values: agility, integrity, care, accountability, and collaboration.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in administrative, secretarial, or PA support in a corporate setting.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent secretarial skills, including diary management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate to expert level.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Professional, responsive, proactive, and efficient approach.
  • Flexible with a hands-on attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
