The Trainee Loss Adjuster will work closely with our Adjusters across the Specialty team in managing insurance claims from start to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to develop the existing business across Specialty, building new relationships and networks with clients both internally and externally.
- Identify any key business development and marketing opportunities and, with support, manage these to successful conclusion.
- Be an integral part to develop the Specialty market and brand profile both in the UK and worldwide.
- Receive and acknowledge new claims, ensuring the manage and coordinate them in a timely and professional manner.
- Undertake site visits and meet with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties.
- Prepare reports commenting in detail on all aspects of the claim including legal and policy liability considerations, potential quantum and future actions.
- Instruct and control surveyors, lawyers, forensic accountants and other experts as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communications.
- Calculate and agree the settlement of claims and prepare accurate final reports.
- Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

- Prior experience or exposure within Contingency & Entertainment, or a related field, is highly preferred.
