The Role

Loss adjusters are instructed by their Principals to undertake detailed and thorough investigations regarding a claim, determining if payment is warranted, negotiating a financial settlement, and authorising payments to the Insured. Once the Insured makes a claim on their insurance policy, you will first investigate the claim to determine if it is legitimate and whether the policy covers the damage/loss.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform loss adjusting for all claims and develop skills to assist in other areas of loss adjusting as required.
  • Receiving and acknowledging new instructions from clients.
  • Undertaking site visits and meetings with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds, and other interested parties mainly in the UK and possibly Europe.
  • Preparing detailed reports and email advice on all aspects of the claim, reviewing policies and contracts, and planning future actions.
  • Instructing and managing third-party experts and others as necessary.
  • Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving payments, and other communications.
  • Calculating and agreeing on claim settlements and preparing final reports.

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years experience as a Liability loss adjuster.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good team player with the ability to work independently.
