The Aviation Liability Adjuster ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of our Aviation business in the UK, from both Operations and Commercial perspectives. This hands-on Surveyor plays a crucial role in implementing the regional business development strategy and driving growth within the UK Aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to develop, analyse, communicate and act on weekly performance and operational KPIs (utilisation, effectiveness, volumes, SLA, profitability, margins, cost optimisation, rates, revenue, WIP, Travel & Expense expenditure).
- Ensure KPI accuracy by promoting disciplined time recording and data management.
- Define and embed efficient local operational processes for the UK and serviced regions, ensuring compliance with both global business-specific and Group-wide policies and procedures.
- Promote the business through appropriate social media activity, presentations, local client meetings, seminars, and visits to the London Market.
- Coordinate client proposals, enhancing the existing library of materials for use with prospective and current clients.
- Communicate clearly with clients about our aviation liability services, emphasising our innovative approach and expertise that set us apart from competitors.
- Manage the end-to-end handling of aviation liability claims, including but not limited to:
- Engage with all relevant parties, including governmental and commercial stakeholders, airport authorities, landowners, and other agencies.
- Assess all factors influencing Underwriters’ potential exposure under the Policy of Insurance.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to Underwriters and other insurance professionals regarding circumstances, damages, costs, causes of loss, and contractual implications, including detailed settlement assessments and recommendations.
- Maintain regular communication with Insureds to advance claims towards settlement.
- Offer liability advice to the in-house Hull team and address any subrogation matters.
- Provide general advice to Underwriters on policy condition interpretation.
- Offer ad-hoc liability advice and expertise to the aviation insurance market.
- Foster teamwork and growth through open, effective communication.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management, within the scope of the role and your capabilities.
