We are seeking an experienced M&E Field Service Engineer to service, maintain, repair, install and commission specialist process plant equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance across UK water and wastewater treatment sites.

You will act as a key point of contact for clients, providing technical expertise, training, and after-sales support. This role requires strong technical capability alongside excellent communication and customer-facing skills, ensuring professional representation of the company at all times.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage customer interaction and communication on site, acting as primary point of contact for clients.
  • Provide installation support, commissioning and after-sales service for equipment.
  • Regular UK travel and frequent overnight stays are required. Flexibility is essential.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer (electro-mechanical background).
  • Strong electrical fault-finding capability.
  • Mechanical service and maintenance experience.
  • Industrial environment experience.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience producing technical service reports.
  • Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and online service platforms.
  • Strong health & safety awareness.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and stay away during the week.

Desirable Qualifications & Training:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • City & Guilds electrical qualifications.
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card, not essential.
  • ECS card, or gold card (electrotechnical) if you have this card the only other requirement needed is 18th edition electrical installation.
  • Confined Space Training (Medium/High Risk), not essential.
  • IOSH Working Safely or Managing Safely.
  • First Aid at Work.
