New Business Development Manager – Contract Interiors / Soft Furnishings

Location: National (UK Travel) Salary: Excellent Basic Salary + Uncapped Bonus + Car Allowance + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

The Company

Our client is a well-established UK apparel manufacturer with over 30 years' experience in contract sewing, along with working with recognised brands within the contract fabric industry, supplying bespoke soft furnishings into the contract interiors market.

With its own UK manufacturing facility, the business provides a complete end-to-end solution, including fabric sourcing, made-to-measure manufacturing and nationwide installation.

Supplying projects across the healthcare, care home, hospitality, leisure and Build to Rent sectors, the company has built an excellent reputation for quality, service and fast lead times.

As part of an exciting growth strategy, they are now looking to appoint an ambitious New Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of the business.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful manufacturer with genuine UK manufacturing capability and a unique service offering.

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and building long-term relationships with End Users, contractors, Architects & Interior Designers and Procurement.

You'll be targeting projects across the healthcare, care home, hospitality, leisure, Build to Rent and residential sectors, promoting a complete solution from specification through to manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across the UK contract interiors market.
  • Build relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors and end users.
  • Generate specifications and convert opportunities into projects.
  • Promote the company's complete manufacturing and installation service.
  • Identify new sectors and routes to market.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve agreed growth targets.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events.

About You

  • Proven business development experience within the contract interiors, textiles, soft furnishings, window treatments or related sectors.
  • Experience selling to architects, interior designers (A&D), contractors and end users.
  • Experience working within healthcare, care homes, hospitality, leisure, Build to Rent or other specification-led commercial sectors.
  • A strong track record of winning new business and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, ambitious and self-motivated approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
