Charles Street Finance ("CSF") is a specialist secured lender based in Cheadle, South Manchester. Established in 1983, we’re a small team but have doubled the size of the loan book over 2 years such that we are seeking to grow and enhance the existing personnel in key areas to further facilitate our ambitions. We are all about a common-sense proposition built around attention to detail and speed of response whilst always putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. A can‑do approach fuels our speed of response from enquiry through to payment. Job Description:
As a Data Analyst you will play a key role in turning raw data into meaningful insights to help us understand and improve both financial and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Preparation – gather data from multiple sources across the business, organize, clean and structure data for analysis and reporting
- Reporting and Insights – produce regular and ad hoc reports for financial and operational teams, create clear, insightful visualisations and summaries to support decision making
- Analysis and Problem Solving – identify trends, anomalies and opportunities in data, work closely with finance and operations to answer key business questions
- Process Improvement – streamline data workflows and reporting processes, improve data quality and reliability, contribute ideas to improve efficiency accuracy in data handling
Essential skills:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, SQL or Python
- Data and financial modelling skills
- Data validation, reporting and control frameworks
- Finance or operational data background
