Overview

In this role you support the Financial Planning team to deliver a smooth client journey and accurate records.

You’ll assist with onboarding, documentation, and regular client updates, while developing your career in financial planning.

The role involves collaboration with planners, paraplanners, and providers to keep cases moving and ensure regulatory compliance.

You’ll gain exposure to client servicing, AML checks, and platform transactions in a supportive, client‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate client records and workflows within Intelligent Office (IO)
  • Support Financial Planners with client onboarding, meeting preparation, and annual reviews
  • Process new business applications and platform transactions, including fund switches and cash management activities
  • Liaise with clients, providers, life offices, and third parties to obtain information and progress cases
  • Prepare client documentation, engagement letters, and correspondence
  • Complete AML and identity verification checks in line with regulatory requirements
  • Obtain valuations and product information from providers and internal systems
  • Work closely with Paraplanners and Review teams to support the timely delivery of client reports
  • Assist with Trust administration, Death Claims, and other client servicing activities
  • Provide regular updates on client cases and contribute to delivering an excellent client experience
  • Key requirements
  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role
  • 1-4 years' experience in a Financial Planning Support role, or at least 1 year as a Trainee Financial Planning Assistant
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
