Role Outline - Service Desk Engineer
We are seeking a detail‑oriented IT Technician with strong experience in workstation deployment and user provisioning. As a key member of our Service Desk team, you will ensure new users, devices, and software are delivered to clients efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard. Working across a wide range of clients, you will be responsible for building and configuring Windows devices using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, provisioning user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and ensuring compliance with defined processes and asset management requirements. Our clients operate diverse environments, so a structured and consistent approach to documentation, testing, and quality control is essential. You will also contribute to improving and automating provisioning workflows to help drive operational efficiency. This is a customer‑focused role where professionalism and clear communication are key, as you may interact with senior stakeholders and end users throughout the delivery process.
What you will need to succeed:
- Previous experience working in an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) or similar multi‑client environment
- Strong interest in technology and continuous improvement of processes
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise multiple tasks
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Required Skills:
- Hands‑on experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft Intune & Autopilot
- Device provisioning profiles, deployment policies, hardware hash management
- Remote management, compliance policies, and endpoint security configuration
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 user provisioning & lifecycle management
- Experience troubleshooting Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD/Entra ID)
- Knowledge of Conditional Access and MFA configuration
- Previous Service Desk or workstation deployment experience (3+ years preferred)
- Experience working in a multi‑tenant MSP environment
- Ability to produce and maintain accurate technical and operational documentation
- Comfortable with standardised builds and following defined SLA‑driven processes
