Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for a Lead DevSecOps Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious client based in the Nottingham area.
Location: Nottingham/Hybrid (2 days in the office per week)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum D.O.E
Skills/Requirements for the Lead DevSecOps Engineer:
- Previous experience as either a DevOps Engineer or a DevSecOps Engineer
- Strong IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Jenkins
- Programming experience within ideally Python
- Cloud experience, with a preference for AWS, however Azure would be suitable
- Kubernetes experience
- Linux experience, any product such as Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu etc
- GitOps and ArgoCD are highly desirable
- Exposure to Microservices is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Leading and driving implementation and improvements in the DevSecOps approach
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure to provide a secure environment
- Identifying and incorporating security practices into the software build mechanism
- Engineering development infrastructure including control of containerised areas
- Developing and testing installation of new products to ensure the highest levels of security
- Releasing products to internal and external customers in addition to ensuring quality standards are achieved
- Incorporating threat analysis and vulnerability scanning and patching where needed
- Developing and maintaining packages of all relevant products ensuring that new installations do not affect any other live products
- Ensuring systems and software are compliant with each other through patch management
- Managing solution releases and packaging for both internal and external environments
