Junior Data Engineer (Data, SQL, Python, Software, MYSQL, Programming, Azure, Data Warehousing, AWS) β Permanent β Manchester
Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Junior Data Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious and fast growing business based in Central Manchester.
Location: Central Manchester β Onsite 5 days per week
Salary: Up to Β£32,000 Per Annum
Skills/Requirements for the Junior Data Engineer:
- Previous experience in a similar role, in some commercial capacity
- Hands on commercial experience working with programming languages, ideally Python
- Understanding and experience of data types and structures
- SQL experience, any MYSQL experience would be highly desirable
- Knowledge of ETL processes
- Understanding of cloud technologies, either Azure or AWS
- Desire to learn and progress, I cannot stress this enough. The business in question will look to support the selected candidate to fulfil their ambitions within Data
Start date is ASAP for the Junior Data Engineer
The Junior Data Engineer will be responsible for:
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to extract, transform, and validate data against MySQL databases.
- Prepare and structure data to support reporting, analysis, and business decision-making.
- Work closely with stakeholders and BI Analysts to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Take part in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development cycles.
- Document workflows, processes, and code for clarity and consistency.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of future automated ETL processes on a chosen cloud platform.
