Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious client based in Blackburn. This role is onsite, with travel to other sites when needed.
Location: Blackburn
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Skills/Requirements for the 2nd Line Support Engineer:
- Previous experience within a similar role is vital
- Ability to work independently
- Strong O365
- Extensive Windows Desktop support around 10/11
- Extensive Active Directory experience
- Networking support
- Basic configuration of routers & switches
- DNS/DHCP support
- Group Policy
Start date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Supporting users on both a remote and face-to-face basis when needed
- Carrying out service requests
- Taking ownership of escalated calls from the service desk, diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Triaging and escalating complex issues to the 3rd Line team
- Managing their own workload in accordance with the businesses SLA’s & KPI’s
- Installing, configuring and maintaining desktop and laptop hardware and software
- Reviewing, amending and where needed creating technical and employee facing knowledge base for articles and procedures
- Providing the highest level of customer service when onsite
