We are a well-established, family-run butcher s shop, which is now part of a larger food wholesaler, with a thriving wholesale section currently operating from our retail premises in Shirehampton. As we prepare to move into a brand-new, purpose-built facility in Yate in early 2026, we re looking for a skilled and motivated Butcher to join our team and play a key role in this exciting new chapter. You will be working from Shirehampton, until the wholesale side of the business is relocated to Yate.
About the role:
You ll be working within our wholesale operation, supplying high-quality meat products to a range of clients including restaurants, caterers, and retailers. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Cutting, boning, and preparing meat to wholesale specifications
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Assisting with packing and order fulfilment
- Supporting the transition to the new Yate facility
- Contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency
About You:
- Proven experience as a Butcher, ideally in a wholesale or high-volume setting
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
- Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing demands
