Knowledge Development Lawyer (12-month fixed-term contract)Charles Russell Speechlys is looking for a Knowledge Development Lawyer to support and facilitate knowledge sharing and implement an ambitious Knowledge Strategy. The role involves both internal and externalâfacing elements, streamlining clientâfacing knowledge content and using technology to drive efficiency.
Responsibilities
Support the Associate Director, Knowledge in managing and developing clientâfacing knowledge programmes aligned to client development programmes.
Review current client offerings to improve process efficiency and demonstrate value.
Advising clients from time to time.
Participate in crossâfirm initiatives and projects such as the firmâwide data project.
Lead exploration of GenAI and other new technologies to drive efficiency.
Develop a standard knowledge offering in offices outside the UK where no KDL is present.
Assist with tasks and projects across Knowledge.
Identify hot topics and emerging trends in Knowledge Management and ensure our offering is best in class.
Deliver relevant updates, insights and training to the team.
Refine and track KPIs for Knowledge, ensuring an excellent ROI and alignment with strategic priorities.
Person Specification
Capable, experienced lawyer (PSL/KDL or currently in a feeâearning or inâhouse role) with proven effectiveness in a commercial, pressurised environment.
Understanding of clients\â areas of focus and priorities.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Inspire confidence at every level of the business.
Develop own networks quickly and use them effectively.
Selfâaware, proactive, able to work independently.
Growth mindset, view challenges as opportunities.
Ability to cascade knowledge.
Commercial awareness, financial acumen and a businessâlike approach to legal practice.
Desire and ability to use technology to improve processes and drive efficiency.
The successful candidate will be a solicitor with at least 8 years\â PQE. Previous experience as a PSL/KDL or in a similar role is preferable but not essential.
