This role will provide expertise at a junior level in searching, reviewing and clearing conflicts results. It is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team, helping shape our new processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing new business intake requests and collating the results of preliminary conflicts checks, ensuring search terms and corporate hierarchy results are accurate and precise.
  • Reviewing and clearing conflicts results.
  • Tracking clients with negotiated engagement terms that contain special requirements around conflicts.
  • Assisting in keeping the firm’s red and amber client lists up to date.
  • Preparing and implementing required screens/firewalls.
  • Explaining conflicts issues and proposed solutions to fee‑earners.
  • Helping train and develop more junior colleagues and fee‑earners.
  • Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.

Skills and Experience:

  • Clear understanding of and ability to explain relevant professional rules and guidance.
  • Ideally experienced in working for a law firm.
  • Experience of US conflicts rules would be useful but not required.
  • Experience of working with Intapp Conflicts product is not required but would be highly desirable.
