We are seeking a Scientific Associate 1 to join our Immunology, Bioanalysis & Biomarker department located in Elphinstone, Tranent. The team consists of a dynamic group of approximately 70 researchers that support our clients as they endeavour to bring novel treatments covering a wide range of therapeutic areas to patients. The multifunctional team ensures that clients are provided with accurate and reliable data to satisfy the regulatory expectations associated with bringing new treatments to the market. This is accomplished using a wide variety of scientific techniques across the fields of Immunology, Immunochemistry, Cell Based Assays and Molecular Biology.
As part of the Immunology team, the successful applicant will be involved in the conduct of a wide range of flow cytometry studies and cell-based assays designed to support (pre)clinical studies. Your main tasks will include sample processing, operating state of the art flow cytometers, data management and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- A BSc or MSc degree in Biomedical Sciences with good understanding of Immunology and Cell biology.
- Strong team player.
- Performs and thrives in a high-pressure environment.
- Will have basic knowledge of GLP/GCP.
- The nature of this work requires flexible working hours (including weekend shifts).
Salary for this role is £27,951.22 per annum.
