Full-time Sample Shipping Coordinator on site at our facility in Tranent (EH33 2NE). The role is initially a 9-month fixed term with the possibility of extension. Salary is £25,352.56 per annum, with paid holidays (pro-rata), pension, private healthcare, health insurance, employee discount scheme, free onsite gym, cafeteria, free onsite parking, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and organize samples and test materials for shipment.
- Ship packing, labeling, marking and tracking.
- Coordinate with study directors to plan shipment of their study materials.
- Arrange border transport via company courier.
- Fill appropriate shipment documentation.
- Liaise with consignees to ensure import requirements are met.
- Assign relevant HTS codes and cost to shipments.
- Ensure work complies with study plans and GLP, where applicable.
Experience and Requirements
- Experience in shipping biological samples or test materials.
- IATA certification is an asset.
- Knowledge and application of GLP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time constraints and adaptation to change.
