This is a physically demanding role where you will be active and on your feet for most of the working day. As an Animal Technician you will be responsible for the following:
- Husbandry duties – delivering essential care and well‑being services to the animals
- Positive interaction with animals, including providing treats, fruits and vegetables
- Participation in animal training programmes
- Handling animals for procedures
- Performing physical environment cleanliness and upkeep, and maintaining accurate records
- Documenting animal behaviours and activities
Candidate must have a passion for working with animals and share our commitment to their welfare. You should have a minimum of a National 5 or equivalent qualification. A positive attitude with a good work ethic is essential, as we need reliable individuals with a good attendance record. In return we provide all the training and support you need.
We offer full on‑site training, a structured career path and a starting pay of £12.60 per hour (annual salary of £23,842), an 8% employer‑contribution pension scheme, volunteering and bonus opportunities.
