UK – Remote Position
Monday – Friday 35 Hrs per week
Salary: Negotiable DOE
The successful candidate will be the Insourcing Solutions UK Training Manager with managerial responsibility for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for the UK Biosciences industry & individual clients
- Training plan, management of training courses & timetabling – Development & management of UK course timetable (IS published timetable). Responding to client bespoke requests related to courses/training and assessment. Assessment of viability of future courses – contacting clients re cancellations / amendment to courses.
- LMS event management & online registration processing – Advanced administration level knowledge, skill & experience of an LMS (learning management system). LMS incorporating courses & assessments conducted via; online virtual, fully eLearning, blended learning or face2face UK venue.
- Course presenting – Presenting course content to learners (face2face or virtually).
- Moderating /Mentoring- Zoom virtual classroom or face2face sessions- training courses and invigilation sessions – managing secure access to virtual/venue sessions. Opening and introducing sessions, assisting presenters as required. Use of Zoom/Teams & LMS advanced features e.g. running invigilated assessments, quiz/polls, breakout sessions, monitoring and responding to chat etc.
- Development, creation & management of training material – design, develop and delivering training materials, including presentations, handouts, online courses/modules. LMS management of course material. Consultation and distribution of revised/developed PPT’s to CRL & consultant presenters.
- Managing people – management & development of administrative training assistant & CRL presenters, consultant presenter resources.
- Forecasts, strategy & budgets – assisting with development of strategy & marketing plan/material – managing business unit cost-effectively (within budgetary constraints) and to forecasted revenue levels. Monitoring activity levels and forecasts.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of training – Evaluation and reporting functions – meeting UK market need / client need / and UK accreditation expectations (and learning outcomes).
- Course assessment – Quality assurance auditing, summarising and confirming results to NTCO’s and/or students.
- Certificate – Tasks relating to quality assurance of certification processing, communication with accrediting bodies and client NTCO’s.
- Accreditation bodies (AB) – the holder of the CRL accreditation. Attendance of accreditation body meetings. Facilitating AB course audits.
- Business and personal development – attendance of industry seminars, conferences, meetings as per business need requirements.
- Problem solving & communication – when anomalies arise (LMS system, registration or training course requirements).
Profile And Requirements
- Can demonstrate management skills (within this industry) with a true passion to continue working in a management role and helping develop and train staff to the best of their abilities. Holds previous experience of managing people.
- Has the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, multitask, deadline-orientated environment.
- Previous experience & education working under The Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (ASPA86). Current or previous NTCO, NACWO & personal licensee holder.
- Has knowledge and experience of the UK regulatory processes with specificity to ASPA86 mandatory training, skilling and CPD activities.
- Has the ability to work independently, show initiative and lead others as part of an integrated team.
- Has advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office, Learning Management System with the ability to learn advanced CRL IT system administration & management skills required for this job role.
- Detail-orientated with optimal written and oral communications skills
- Strong organizational skills are needed to manage training programs, budgets, and schedules.
- Experience in project management helpful for planning and implementing training initiatives
- Presentation skills – The ability to present information clearly and confidently is essential for delivering effective training.
- The ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during training delivery
- Degree or equivalent qualification would be preferred but not essential
