We also provide advice to firms involved in regulatory proceedings and sector inquiries. Position Overview
Candidates will be expected to rapidly take on genuine responsibility, assisting Vice Presidents and other senior staff by providing conceptual and practical input to competition case work as required. The role brings with it the possibility of working on some of the largest and most significant competition cases in Europe, playing a key role in the shaping of the cases.
Desired Qualifications
- First degree in economics and a PhD/DPhil in economics from a well‑regarded institution with a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialism with large data sets (empirical PhDs) or Industrial Organisation and/or statistics/econometrics), plus up to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Non-PhD applicants should have strong academic achievement in a Master\’s program, plus 5-7 years\’ relevant work experience;
- Professional work experience in consulting, business, or with a competition authority strongly preferred;
- Demonstrated understanding of economic concepts, competition/regulatory authorities, competition policy and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods;
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills;
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership;
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities;
- Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.

Work Location Flexibility
