We are recruiting for a Pastoral Manager, Behaviour at Charles Read Academy, based in Corby Glen, Lincolnshire.

Key Details

  • 37 hours per week, 39 weeks term time, permanent contract.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering the academy behaviour policy.
  • Monitor student behaviour and make the necessary interventions when appropriate.
  • Work with other agencies that support individual students.
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of students.
  • Motivate students to promote and reinforce self‑esteem.
  • Participate in the induction of students at the start of the year and throughout the year as necessary.
  • Participate in the comprehensive assessment of students to determine those in need of particular help.
  • Participate in producing an action plan, safety plan or well‑being plan as appropriate with students, parents and teachers.
  • Respond to staff requests for behavioural support in lessons, advising on strategies, providing in‑class observation, removing students, and supervising as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with young people aged 11‑19 in a secondary school.
  • Willingness to undertake further work‑related training.
  • Good ICT skills or willingness to learn, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of strategies to overcome barriers to learning and poor behaviour, and a willingness to work with a team that leads behaviour modifications.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
  • Good organisation, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to undertake first‑aid training.
  • Commitment to inclusion.
  • Help foster a culture of high expectations.
  • Commitment to the school's ethos and vision.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with students and staff.

Salary & Benefits

  • Payscale: NJC15 £30,024.00 per annum FTE.
  • Actual salary £26,372.00 per annum based on working 37 hours, 39 weeks term time.
