A key role within the sales function, reporting to Head of Business Development, you’ll experience all elements of sales, from supporting our global network of equestrian retailers and wholesalers, to supporting the brand on hat fittings and attending training days, as well as trade and consumer shows. As a result, you are expected to travel in line with business requirements; flexibility on this is paramount. You are responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties include sales presentations and product demonstrations with existing and potential customers. You will be expected to demonstrate a full understanding of the sales process.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships
- Generate leads
- Negotiate new account terms with prospective customers
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations
- Preparing weekly and monthly planning and activity report
- Give sales presentations to a range of existing and prospective customers
- Coordinate sales efforts in line with marketing programs
- Obtaining proforma and balance of payments from clients when requested
- Prepare and submit sales orders ensuring they fall within the company terms and conditions
- Visit existing and potential customers to evaluate needs or promote products and services
- Maintain customer records
- Answer customer questions about credit terms, products, prices, terms and conditions discount structures and product availability
- Provide point-of-sale and shelf management services to produce sales and display a corporate image in store
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies to balance the expectations of customers and the company objectives
- Where needed support our retailers by maintaining store shelves and display products appropriately so that they can maximize the interest of customers and maximise sales
- Attend trade and sales events as and when required, such as, but not limited to, BETA, Spoga, Badminton and Burghley
Skills:
- A proven experience in B2B sales management
- A commitment to excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate progress
- Have the aptitude to learn and develop
- Be approachable and adaptable to enable you to work collaboratively

- Ideally already have experience of equestrian helmet and body protector fitting
- FULL UK Driving licence is required for this role
Because of the changing nature of our business, your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
