The Research Manager plays a central role in delivering high‑quality quantitative social research for public‑sector and community‑focused clients. You will manage projects end‑to‑end, lead client relationships, and contribute to methodological and digital innovation across a growing research portfolio. The role suits someone with strong technical capability, confident consultancy skills, and a commitment to social value.
Key responsibilities- Quantitative project management — Manage studies from design through to delivery, ensuring robust sampling, fieldwork, analysis and reporting.
- Multimode research delivery — Lead telephone, online and face‑to‑face research programmes.
- Methodological design — Develop questionnaires, sampling plans and weighting strategies.
- Operational oversight — Manage timelines, budgets and quality assurance processes.
- Insight & reporting — Analyse data and produce clear, senior‑level reports.
- Client engagement — Present findings and support clients in interpreting and applying insights.
- Portfolio management — Run multiple concurrent projects with structured planning and prioritisation.
- Digital innovation — Contribute to dashboards, data visualisation and digital research tools.
- Team development — Mentor junior colleagues and support capability building.
- Ethical practice — Uphold social value, ethical standards and continuous improvement.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in quantitative market or social research.
- Strong understanding of sampling, weighting and statistical quality .
- Experience managing multimode research projects end‑to‑end.
- Excellent written communication and senior‑level report writing .
- Confident presenting findings to senior clients.
- Strong project management capability and ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of telephone, online and face‑to‑face methodologies.

- Employee research, segmentation or key driver analysis.
- Dashboard design (Power BI, Tableau).
- Forsta platforms, SQL or advanced Excel.
