A fast‑growing UK media organisation is looking for a commercially minded Media Analyst to join a small, well‑respected and genuinely friendly insight team. This is a high‑impact role shaping how advertisers, agencies and industry decision‑makers understand the performance and potential of multi‑platform media.
You’ll work across audience, revenue, spend and behavioural datasets, turning complex information into clear, compelling stories that influence thinking across the wider advertising ecosystem.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for transforming data into insight that informs strategy, inspires external audiences, and supports internal decision‑making. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building and maintaining dashboards and reports (Power BI or similar) to track trends across multiple industry datasets
- Bringing together audience, revenue, spend and behavioural data to identify opportunities and shape new content
- Creating intuitive visualisations and insight summaries for non‑technical stakeholders
- Monitoring wider media and advertising news to spot opportunities for reactive or proactive content
- Supporting the development of external‑facing insight outputs, including quarterly market updates
- Responding to ad‑hoc data and insight requests from internal teams and external partners
- Contributing to new strategic research projects alongside senior insight leaders
What You’ll Bring
- Around 2–4 years’ experience in a media, advertising, or audience‑focused analyst role
- Strong capability in dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar)
- Ability to translate data into clear, engaging narratives for non‑technical audiences
- A curious, commercially aware mindset with the ability to spot patterns and build a compelling story
- Interest in media consumption, audience behaviour and the evolving advertising landscape
- Experience with datasets such as Nielsen, RAJAR or IPA Touchpoints is a bonus
