As a

Research Manager , you'll lead a diverse portfolio of quantitative research projects, managing studies from design through to delivery and helping clients turn insight into action.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to methodological innovation, and play a key role in delivering research that improves services and outcomes for communities.

The Role This is a hands-on consultancy role offering significant project ownership and client exposure.

You'll be responsible for designing and managing high-quality quantitative research projects, overseeing fieldwork, analysis, reporting and client communication.

Working across telephone, online and face-to-face methodologies, you'll help clients understand their audiences, evaluate performance, and make evidence-based decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quantitative research projects from proposal through to delivery
  • Design questionnaires, sampling strategies, weighting plans and research methodologies
  • Lead multi-mode studies across telephone, online and face-to-face channels
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, resources and quality assurance processes
  • Analyse data and generate clear, actionable insights
  • Produce engaging reports, presentations and client-ready outputs
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Support the development of dashboards and data visualisation tools
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement and best practice across the research team

About You Essential Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quantitative market research or social research
  • Strong understanding of sampling, weighting and statistical quality principles
  • Proven experience managing quantitative research projects from design through to delivery
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills
  • Experience presenting findings to senior clients and stakeholders
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Good understanding of telephone, online and face-to-face research methodologies
  • UK-based with full right to work in the UK

Desirable Experience

  • Customer Experience (CX) or resident satisfaction research
  • Public sector, local government, housing or not-for-profit sector research
  • Employee engagement, segmentation or key driver analysis
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools
  • Knowledge of Forsta, SQL or advanced Excel
  • Experience with CRM or customer feedback platforms
