A leading energy trading business is looking to connect with experienced Light Ends Traders for a senior opportunity within its oil trading platform.
The role is suited to an established trader with a strong track record across the light ends complex, with the opportunity to take significant ownership of trading activity and develop an existing book.
The Role
- Trade across the light ends complex, with exposure potentially including gasoline, naphtha, LPG and related products
- Identify and execute opportunities across physical and paper markets
- Develop views through fundamental analysis, market flows and physical market intelligence
- Manage trading risk and contribute directly to P&L generation
- Build and maintain relationships across the physical market
- Work closely with analysts, originators, brokers and other traders to identify opportunities
- Contribute to the continued development of the wider oil trading platform
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience trading light ends / refined products
- Strong understanding of physical oil markets and associated paper markets
- Demonstrable trading track record and P&L responsibility
- Strong understanding of market fundamentals, flows and pricing
- Established network across the relevant physical and financial markets
- Comfortable taking ownership of trading decisions and managing risk independently
- Entrepreneurial and commercially minded approach
