Senior Gas Trader in London

Charles Levick have partnered with a global Energy Trading business. We have been commissioned to find a highly motivated Senior Trader as they continue to expand their ever-growing team.

Your role & responsibilities

• Manage your own trading portfolio and run proprietary trading strategies across European Gas markets (TTF, NBP and wider Continental hubs)
• Work closely with analysts to generate successful trading strategies and market insights
• Contribute to the development of gas‑specific forecasting models and trading tools (fundamentals, flows, storage, LNG)
• Maintain strong relationships with colleagues across risk management, operations and analytics
• Actively identify new opportunities across UK and European gas markets, including spreads, storage, and optionality plays

Must Have

• At least 5 years of experience trading European Gas markets, with strong exposure to TTF, NBP and Continental hubs
• A proven track record of at least 5 years of profitable proprietary trading
• Deep understanding of EU gas market fundamentals (LNG flows, storage dynamics, supply/demand, weather impact)
• Experience gained within international trading houses, banks, or major utilities with a focus on fundamentally-driven and news-driven trading
• Strong numerical, analytical and economic background (degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to perform in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
