Team Leader - Children's Residential Care - Blackpool

£15.00-£15.60 per hour + £53 sleep-in

Are you an experienced children's support worker ready to take the next step?

We're looking for a confident and motivated Team Leader in Blackpool to help lead a team supporting children and young people within a residential setting.

The Role

You'll play a key role in ensuring young people receive consistent, high-quality care while supporting and developing the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the management team with the day-to-day running of the home
  • Leading and motivating support workers
  • Providing guidance and supervision to colleagues
  • Ensuring care plans and procedures are followed
  • Supporting safeguarding practices
  • Building positive relationships with young people
  • Managing incidents and challenging situations
  • Supporting staff development
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Working with professionals and external agencies
  • Participating in sleep-in duties

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Previous experience within residential care
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A calm and confident approach
  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to lead by example
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding
  • The ability to work flexibly

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior/Support Worker looking for progression into a Team Leader position.

Pay

£15.00-£15.60 per hour

£53 per sleep-in
