Team Leader - Children's Residential Care - Blackpool
£15.00-£15.60 per hour + £53 sleep-in
Are you an experienced children's support worker ready to take the next step?
We're looking for a confident and motivated Team Leader in Blackpool to help lead a team supporting children and young people within a residential setting.
The Role
You'll play a key role in ensuring young people receive consistent, high-quality care while supporting and developing the wider team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the management team with the day-to-day running of the home
- Leading and motivating support workers
- Providing guidance and supervision to colleagues
- Ensuring care plans and procedures are followed
- Supporting safeguarding practices
- Building positive relationships with young people
- Managing incidents and challenging situations
- Supporting staff development
- Maintaining accurate records
- Working with professionals and external agencies
- Participating in sleep-in duties
What We're Looking For
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience working with children and young people
- Previous experience within residential care
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A calm and confident approach
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to lead by example
- A strong understanding of safeguarding
- The ability to work flexibly
