Agency Teaching Assistants required across Reading for Special Educational Needs Primary Schools and Nurseries. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who can work well as part of a team and on a 1:1 basis and make a positive impact on a child's day within an educational environment. The ideal applicant will have experience with Learning Disabilities from moderate through to profound. We are looking for candidates with great communication skills, a positive attitude and to be a great team player.
Hours: Agency Hours available - 08:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday. You can pick and choose when you work from 1 day to 5 (depending on our clients' needs).
Duties of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Support the Class Teacher in the smooth and effective running of the class
- Supporting pupils in their learning and development, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- To help raise standards of achievement for all pupils
- To encourage the social and emotional development of pupils
- To help pupils to become as autonomous and as independent as possible
- Supporting with Personal Care throughout the day
Experience Required:
- Experience working with Children and Young people with Learning disabilities including ASD, ADHD, visual, hearing and sensory impairments
- Physical disabilities
- Personal Care
