We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a domiciliary care service in Orpington.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service.

You will lead and motivate your team, ensure high standards of care are consistently maintained and ensure the service operates in line with all relevant CQC and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the domiciliary care service.

  • Provide effective leadership, support and direction to the care team.

  • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care.

  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation.

  • Prepare for CQC inspections and maintain strong quality and compliance standards.

  • Recruit, train, develop and retain high-quality care staff.

  • Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals and performance reviews.

  • Manage staff rotas and ensure safe and effective staffing levels.

  • Oversee care plans and ensure risk assessments are completed and regularly reviewed.

  • Carry out regular quality assurance audits and spot checks.

  • Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and investigations.

  • Build strong relationships with service users, families and external professionals.

  • Ensure excellent communication across the service.

  • Monitor service performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Support the growth and development of the service.

  • Work towards operational and financial targets.

  • Promote a positive, supportive and professional team culture.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care.

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Experience managing and developing a care team.

  • Experience with recruitment, supervision and performance management.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.

  • Experience completing audits and driving continuous quality improvement.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

  • A proactive and hands-on approach to management.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with staff, service users, families and external professionals.

  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

  • Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting service growth.
