This role is for a Residential Support Worker to join a charity that supports vulnerable young people in the UK via their homes based in Newark.
Role OverviewBased in their residential community, you will work with young people aged 5-18 who have suffered severe childhood trauma linked to exploitation, neglect, domestic violence and abuse. Your role will be to help them understand their trauma and re-establish a positive view of the world. The role requires full commitment. It is a serious career path that involves long hours, overnight sleep in shifts, alternate weekends, and sometimes staying beyond your shift ending to ensure safe handover or bedtime routines.
