We are seeking a dedicated Mockingbird Liaison and Recruitment Worker to join a Fostering service based with an Outstanding rated local authority in East London. This role is key in supporting our Mockingbird hub home foster carers and their satellite carers, ensuring children in care receive consistent, high‑quality support. You will also play an important part in recruitment activities across the fostering service.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between the Mockingbird hub home carer and the Fostering Service, providing guidance and support to enable hub carers to lead their constellation effectively.
- Maintain regular contact with hub carers and satellite foster carers to support participation in activities, monthly meetings, training, and respite care.
- Assist in planning and coordinating Mockingbird activities and social events.
- Support recruitment efforts, including Skills to Foster preparation training, applications, approvals, and events.
- Create social media content and coordinate foster carer events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to advocate for the needs of the constellation and promote the voice of the child.

Qualifications and Experience
- Recognised qualification or experience in social work, childcare, or related fields.
- Experience in coaching, training, or supporting others.
- Experience managing sensitive or challenging situations.
- Understanding of the Mockingbird model is desirable.
- Competent in using MS applications and maintaining accurate records.
