Do you have a passion for working with children and young people with autism and developmental challenges? Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding role? I am looking for Children's Support Workers to join a fantastic company who support children with autism and learning difficulties based in their children's home in Laycock.
The Children's Support Worker role is a permanent full-time role, with day shifts only (7am-1.30pm or 1.30pm-11pm) with NO sleep-in shifts, and there is alternate weekend working. Due to the location of the home and the requirements to drive children to school, medical appointments, and activities, a full UK driving licence is required. Please only apply if you can work to this shift pattern and have a driving licence.
You are contracted to 36 hours per week and the pay rate is £12.50 per hour. The Residential Support Worker role requires full commitment; this is a serious career path that requires self-sacrifice to ensure the young people are always put first and receive the support they need.
The job will involve long hours (sometimes 24-hour shifts), overnight sleep-in shifts, alternate weekends, and sometimes you will need to stay beyond your shift ending to ensure safe handover or bedtime routines.
