We are currently looking for a Best Interest Assessor (BIA) Social Worker to join our Safeguarding team. This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience.
About the team: This team is responsible for protecting vulnerable adults aged 18 and over within the local community whose safety and welfare may be at risk. As a Best Interest Assessor (BIA), your role is to independently assess and determine what outcome is in the individual's best interests. This includes working within relevant legal frameworks to ensure that appropriate, lawful, and proportionate care plans are in place to safeguard the individual's rights, dignity, and wellbeing.
About you: Having previous experience working as a BIA is key to being successful in this role. It is essential to have a degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of two years experience within adult's social work in order to be considered for this role. A valid UK driving licence and vehicle is required to qualify for this role.
