We are looking for an Experienced Children's Social Worker to join an Access & Assessment Team.

Please note: To be considered for this role, you must hold a Social Work qualification and have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience, gained within permanent Social Work roles.

About the team

The Access & Assessment Team acts as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and requests for support relating to children within the local community.

The team undertakes initial and comprehensive assessments of children in need using the assessment framework, plans how those needs will be met, supports families in putting those plans into action, and reviews plans and reassesses needs where required.

The aim is to promote positive change in children and families' lives by using social work methods, models and tools, helping families to become as independent as possible while managing risks of abuse and neglect.

About you

  • Social Work Degree / DipSW / CQSW
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience in permanent Social Work roles
  • Experience within Children's Social Work
  • Flexible, resilient and reflective approach
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential
