Are you a Site Engineer looking to build your experience in an exciting and diverse business? If the answer is YES, then Charles Brand want to hear from you! We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in site operations, from setup to completion. This role will commence working at Corran Ferry Crossing in Scotland, however once completed there will be other exciting projects across the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily site operations and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.
- Set out works and verifying levels, alignment and measurements.
- Work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Identify risks to project success and resolve or escalate these promptly.
- Conduct progress reviews and provide updates to site management as required.
Compliance and Quality
- Inspect materials and completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality.
- Ensure adequate permits are received before commencing any site activities.
- Address any issues with non-compliance or poor quality, escalating and reporting as necessary.
Health, Safety and Sustainability
- Promote safety as a core Company Value, in all activities.
- Identify, report and correct any safety concerns, escalating where required.
- Work with HSEQ and Sustainability teams to meet our objectives and communicate updates.
What You'll Bring
- Third level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management or similar discipline.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Civil Engineering role.
- Hold a full driving license that permits driving in the UK/Ireland.
- Flexibility to travel and work on different projects across the UK and Ireland.
- IT Literacy in Microsoft Packages.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Awareness of issues impacting the construction of Civil Engineering projects.
- Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and best practice.
- Experience of supervising others, including subcontractors.
- It would also be desirable but not essential, for the candidate to have CSR/CSCS certification or equivalent.
- Good working Knowledge of AutoCAD.
