The Role
We are hiring a Project Manager to own the delivery of our new store build projects and selected retainer sprints. You will be responsible for ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard, while keeping clients informed, teams aligned, and commercial performance on track. This is a hands-on delivery role. You will manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams across design, development, and strategy, acting as the central point of coordination between Charle and our merchants throughout the project lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of delivery excellence, client communication, and commercial awareness. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure our project delivery becomes a competitive advantage for Charle.
What You Will Own
- Project Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of new Shopify store builds from kickoff through to launch
- Manage selected retainer sprints, ensuring clear scoping, scheduling, and execution
- Build and maintain detailed project plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and deadlines
- Proactively identify and manage risks, blockers, and scope changes before they impact delivery
- Commercial and Operational Performance
- Track project profitability against budgeted day rates and hours
- Ensure accurate time tracking and resource allocation across all active projects
- Flag commercial risks early and work with leadership to protect margins
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, templates, and tooling
- Client Communication and Partnership
- Act as the primary point of contact for merchants during active projects
- Set and manage client expectations around timelines, deliverables, and feedback cycles
- Run status updates, milestone reviews, and launch planning sessions
- Work closely with the Customer Success team to ensure a seamless client experience from project delivery through to ongoing partnership
- Ensure every client feels informed, confident, and well looked after throughout delivery
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate daily with design, development, and strategy teams to keep projects moving
- Work closely with senior leadership on resource planning and capacity management
- Ensure briefs are clear, handoffs are clean, and teams have what they need to deliver their best work
- Provide feedback loops to leadership on delivery trends, efficiency opportunities, and process improvements
Who We Are Looking For
- 2 plus years of experience in project management within a digital agency or ecommerce environment
- Experience managing web build projects, ideally on Shopify or similar platforms
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Commercially aware with an understanding of budgets, day rates, and project profitability
- Confident communicating with clients and internal teams at all levels
- Detail oriented and process driven, with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Comfortable operating in a fast growing, ambitious agency environment
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or similar
