An exciting new opportunity has arisen to lead the transformation of the Retail division to achieve the income growth necessary to ensure the Hospice can continue providing best in class care. In this crucial role you’ll implement a comprehensive retail strategy to generate sustainable income, grow and evolve our current estate and maintain a strong community presence. You’ll oversee all Retail and Distribution activities, leading and developing the teams in line with Hospice values.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide high quality leadership to a diverse, geographically dispersed team
- Lead the continuous development of retail vision and strategy
- Represent Retail on the Senior Management Team, leading on the annual retail budget and ensuring retail financial targets are met
- Drive the development of an efficient and sustainable operating model
- Partner with Retail Commercial Managers to implement projects that enhance net income and customer experience
- Oversee the implementation of new sales strategies and follow industry best practice
What You’ll Need:
- A minimum of 5 years senior retail management experience is essential.
- You’ll be used to managing a large team, preferably including volunteers.
- With proven commercial acumen you’ll have demonstrable knowledge and experience of change management, increasing retail net profit and delivering substantial financial targets.
- Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills are really important along with motivation and negotiation skills.
Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy. Our dedicated Business Development teams and retail portfolio of shops raise vital funds to deliver this care.
